El Hierro enjoys year-round excellent diving conditions as well as exceptional visibility between 25 and 50 metres of its crystal waters and the excellent conservation conditions of its depths. The water temperatures ranges from 19ºC in winter and 24ºC in summer.

All these facts explain why El Hierro is a perfect site where divers can enjoy a quality offer, being considered by many as one of Europe?s best diving destinations (among them, the twice World Champion of Underwater Photography Carlos Minguell).

Even the most exigent diver will be fully satisfied with our offers and facilities, as you will be able to dive either in the calm waters next to La Restinga, where you can enjoy its amazing depths and a high concentration of undersee life (Rays, Turtles, shoals of various species of fish) , or experience the exciting dive "hanging" at an undersea wall, enjoying the currents and the huge pelagic species.

During our dives, we will observe big Groupers, Amberjacks, Lobsters, an infinite number of Morays, Parrot Fishes, Guelly Jacks, Trumpet Fishes, Porcupine Fishes, numerous up to 6 different species of Rays and a great lot of fishes that form spectacular shoals like Oceanic Triggerfishes, Sea Chubs, Sea Breams, etc., and usually we will find also the pelagic species like Barracudas, Tuna Fishes and Medregals. The Black Corals are also very abundant forming impressive and genuine "forests" in some areas. Furthermore can we find with some frequency spectacular species like the Mantarays or the Moon Fishes.

El Submarino Diving Centre lays next to the Sea of Calm (Mar de las Calmas) and the Marine Reservation which guarantees the best diving conditions throughout the year.
